Photo project "ODE TO THE FISH" by NATASCHA AUENHAMMER
 Natascha Auenhammer's photo project  "Scales before the eyes - Ode to the fish" is conceived as a homage to the beauties of nature and the aesthetics of food.
The fish is shown in still lifes as an aesthetic object - a new way of looking at our "food" "In this work, I want to present fish in a new, personalised way. In the form of still lifes, stil leven (Dutch: stil = motionless and leven = existence), i.e. according to the European art tradition of depicting dead or motionless objects."   "My fish in glass now bring the objects to life and thus counteract the actual concept of still life. Each one has its very own expression, character and personality, just like the inhabitants of the Salzkammergut."
