Kaiserlich & königlich führt die S510 K&K Runde mit 62,5km und 710hm durch die Orte Bad Goisern, Bad Aussee und Bad Ischl.

Description:

Die K&K Runde S510 beinhaltet weder Singletrails noch Schiebestrecken jedoch die eine oder andere ruppige Forststraßen wo etwas Fahrtechnik hilfreich ist. 


Zusätzlich zu den kulturellen Höhepunkten und neben der wunderbaren Natur gibt es noch die einen oder anderen Höhepunkte wie:



  • Die Fahrt am Ostuferweg des Hallstättersee bis nach Obertraun. 

  • Der Altausseersee und die Fahrt unterhalb des Loser zur Blaa Alm

  • Die wildromantische Rettenbachschlucht mit der nachfolgenden Rettenbachalm

  • Die Reise von Bad Ischl über Lauffen nach Bad Goisern


 



Directions:

Wir starten beim Gemeindeamt in Bad Goisern und biegen rechts in den Marktplatz ein. Wir folgen dem Salzkammergutradweg R2 in Richtung Hallstatt. Nach rund 1,5km mündet der Radweg nach rechts in die B166 in Richtung Hallstatt/Gosau ein und wir bleiben weitere 1,8km am Radweg an der B166 um nach dem Gasthaus zur Post in Steeg die B166 nach leicht links zu queren (km3,3) am R2 Salzkammergut Radweg in Richtung Hallstatt bleibend. 


Nun folgen wir der Beschilderung des Radweges, unterqueren nach rund 800m die Eisenbahn (km4,1) um kurz darauf (300m) nach rechts abbiegend (km4,5) bis zur nächsten Unterführung wiederum rechts am Radweg R2 (km4,8) bleibend nach rund 800m den See (km5,6) erreichen. 


Nun folgen wir dem Ostuferweg 2,1km bis zur Seeraunzn (km7,7) und unterqueren bergauf die Eisenbahnlinie und queren die Kreuzung (km7,9) rund 200m oberhalb des Sees. Es geht weiter auf Asphalt bis wir nach rund 800m eine Weggabelung erreichen und links (km8,7) in die Forststraße einschwenken. 


Es geht vorerst leicht bergab und nach rund 1,1km unterqueren wir abermals die Eisenbahnlinie und sind wieder direkt am See (km9,8). Weiter geht´s am Ostuferweg über die Hängebrücke, vorbei an der Haltestelle Hallstatt und mit vielen Bademöglichkeiten bis wir letztlich nach rund 3,2km die Abzweigung in Obertraun an der Eisenbahn erreichen. 


Wir queren die Trasse (km13,0) in einer Links- Rechtskombination und folgen rechts dem Weg entlang der Bahntrasse, vorbei am Bahnhof rund 600m bis zur L547 (km13,6). Wir queren die Landesstrasse L547 und fahren weiter 300m entlang der Bahntrasse, biegen links ab um nach 100m rechts in die Landesstrasse L547 (km14) einzubiegen. 


Nach 200m auf der L547 (km14,2) verlassen wir diese nach rechts, folgen dem Weg 500m bis zur Traunbrücke (14,7), queren diese und biegen unmittelbar danach links ab.


Wir queren einen kleinen Bach(km14,8), bleiben auf diesem Weg geradeaus (R2 biegt nach links) welcher kurz darauf etwas steiler nach oben geht bis wir nach rund 300m geradeaus in die Forststraße (km15,1) steil bergauf weiter fahren. 


Nach rund 700m quer durch das Trainingsgelände des Mountainbike Zentrums kommen wir direkt an der Talstation der Dachsteinseilbahn (km15,5) wieder auf Asphalt. Wir halten uns links am Parkplatzrand und biegen nach rund 200m in die Forststraße (km15,7) geradeaus gehts weiter und nach rund 600m an in der Rechtskurve (km16,3) links ein wunderschöner Blick über den Hallstättersee


Es geht 800m leicht bergab und wir münden bei km17,5 rechts abbiegend in den Radweg R2 ein. Nachdem wir zwei Bäche überquert haben und in einer Linkskurve die Koppenwinkelalm passieren, kommen wir nach rund 800m an den Koppenwinkelsee (km18,3)


Nach weiteren rund 700m kommen wir von unten in die L547 (km19,0), biegen nach links in Richtung Koppenrast ab, laden hier unsere Akkus nach bzw. überqueren die Koppentraun um nach rund 200m nach rechts flussaufwärts an der Koppentraun in den Radweg nach Bad Aussee abzubiegen. 


Wir bleiben die nächsten 8,2km am Radweg bis wir am Bahnhof Bad Aussee vorbei fahrend die Kainischtraun queren und hier den Radweg (km27,4) verlassen und geradeaus weiter auf der Bahnhofstraße die Vereinigte Traun queren und unterhalb der B145 weiter in Richtung Bad Aussee fahren.  Wir bleiben immer am Hauptweg in Richtung Ortszentrum und queren nach rund 1,2km am Postamt (km28,6) abermals die Vereinigte Traun.


Nach kurzer Distanz biegen wir rechts in die L702 und bei erster Gelegenheit nach links oben in Richtung Kammerhof Museum ab. Nach rund 400m biegen wir links in die Bäckergasse (km28,8) und fahren weiterhin am Hauptweg bleibend am Stieger Schnitzelwirt vorbei um nach rund 1km links haltend (km29,8) in den Ausseer Radweg einzubiegen. 


Wir folgen der Radwegbeschilderung in Richtung Blaa Alm vorbei am See, durchqueren Altaussee und nach rund 6,4km auf Asphalt durch das Skigebiet Loser und geradeaus durch das Tor (km36,2) auf Schotter in Richtung Blaa Alm welche wir nach rund 1,6km erreichen. Auf der Blaa Alm (km37,8) besteht die Möglichkeit den Akku nachzuladen. 


Wir queren den Schranken nach der Alm um bei der nächsten Kreuzung (km38,1) nach rund 300m nach rechts abzubiegen und nach weiteren 100m nach links unten (km38,2) zu fahren. 


Nun kommt die Fahrt am Soleweg für rund 3,7km durch die Rettenbachklamm welche sicherlich zu einer der schönsten Naturrouten durch das Salzkammergut zählt. Die Klamm ist die kürzeste Verbindung zwischen Bad Aussee und Bad Ischl.


ACHTUNG, ein kurzer Tunnel liegt am Weg welcher natürlich unbeleuchtet ein kleines Handicap darstellt aber auch einen Abenteuer Charakter ausweist. 


Nach einer Linkskurve bereits außerhalb der Klamm öffnet sich die Rettenbachalm (km41,9), nach ca. 500m liegt rechts direkt am Wegesrand die urtümliche Lippenbauernhütte (km42,4) welche mit viel Liebe von einer Mountainbikerin geführt wird. 


Nach weiteren 400m rechts am Weg die Rettenbachalm (km42,8), wo so ausreichend Strom vorhanden, eventuell auch der Akku nachgeladen werden kann. Die sichere Ladung ist jedoch auf der Blaa Alm gegeben. 


Wir passieren den Schranken (km43,0) nach 200m und es geht leicht bergab entlang des Rettenbaches auf einer je nach Wetter auch stark befahrenen Schotterstraße. Somit hier auf den Verkehr achten.


Entlang des Rettenbach fahren wir rund 6,2km bergab um nach dem Weiler Hinterstein den Rettenbach NICHT überqueren sondern geradeaus in den Hubhanslauweg (km49,2) in Richtung Bad Ischl einzubiegen.


Wir folgen dem Weg durch die Siedlung entlang des Rettenbaches flußabwärts bis wir nach rund 500m rechts in die Steinfeldstraße (km49,7) einbiegend nach rund 800m abermals den Rettenbach überqueren (km50,5)


Es geht bergab auf Asphalt entlang der Eisenbahn, wir queren die B145 und wenig später die Traun um dort nach links in den Radweg R2 (km51,3) der Traun flußaufwärts folgend abzubiegen. 


Wir folgen dem Radweg R2 in Richtung Bad Goisern, entlang der Esplanade, dem Sissipark und erreichen nach rund 6km Lauffen und verlassen (km57,3) hier den Radweg R2 nach leicht links unten indem wir die Traun an dieser Stelle nicht überqueren sondern weiterhin flußaufwärts auf der linken Seite der Traun bleibend weiter fahren. 


Nach rund 200m biegen wir links ab, fahren unter der Bahntrasse (57,5km) durch und folgen der Traun flussaufwärts auf einem malerischen Weg in Richtung Weißenbach. Nach rund 1,6km durchfahren wir das Örtchen Weißenbach, überqueren den Weißenbach (km59) und wenige Meter später auf der rechten Seite im Gastgarten des Weissenbachwirts unser Abenteuer zu rekapitulieren. 


Es geht weitere 200m auf Asphalt wieder in Richtung Traun. So die Müdigkeit überhand nimmt, kann hier abgekürzt werden. Einfach die Traun überqueren und gleich danach am R2 in Richtung Bad Goisern fahren, oder beim Jodschwefelbad in den Zug steigen. 


Der Rest nimmt den Originalweg und biegt vor der Traunbrücke (km59,3) nach rechts und folgt dem Asphaltweg der Beschilderung folgend zuerst mal leicht bergauf, immer am Hauptweg bleibend, vorbei an der Kuranstalt um nach rund 1,9km nach links unten abzubiegen.


Nach einer kurzen Abfahrt geht´s in einer Linkskurve wiederum entlang der Traun 300m bis zur Brücke die wir überqueren und dann dem Salzkammergutradweg R2, durch den Kurpark, bis zu unserem Ausgangspunkt in 1km beim Marktgemeindeamt folgen. 


 


Die weinrote Mountainbikebeschilderung ist eindeutig geografisch verortet. Jeder Wegpunkt hat eine eindeutige Nummer z.B. 40702-0002 welche in der unteren Logozeile angedruckt ist. Solltest du mal Schwierigkeiten haben, kannst du diese Nummer beim Tourismusverband Inneres Salzkammergut durchgeben und wir wissen, wo du dich aufhältst. 



Tip:

Die Fahrt über die Hängebrücke am Hallstättersee und die stille Einkehr am Koppenwinkelsee um die Füße ins kalte Nass zu tauchen. 



Safety guidelines:

Die S510 K&K Runde ist eine Rundtour, NICHT beschildert und nur als GPS-Tour verfügbar. Touren mit 500er Nummern haben eine Streckenlänge bis max. 70km. Die angegebenen Fahrtzeiten sind reine netto Fahrtzeiten mit dem E-MTB ohne Pause wie Fotostops, Einkehrschwung, etc..


Bitte beachte insbesondere die Querungen im Bereich Koppenrast, die Ortsdurchfahrten in Bad Aussee sowie Altaussee sowie den Verkehr auf der Rettenbachstraße bergab und die Ortsdurchfahrten Bad Ischl sowie den starken Fußgängerverkehr an der Esplanade in Bad Ischl. 


Um den Tag perfekt zu gestalten, findest du hier ein paar Tipps, welche es sich lohnen vor jeder Tour zu beachten. Darüber hinaus sei Dir sich bewußt, dass du  dich im Gebirge bewegst und somit die Eigenverantwortung eine große Rolle einnimmt. Dies betrifft die Auswahl der zu bewältigenden Strecke, das zu erwartende Wetter und das eine oder andere Funkloch in welchem Sie keine Mobilfunkverbindung vorfinden.

2.Some of the tours lead over roads with normal traffic conditions. Please observe that there is an increased risk which can be avoided by means of appropriate attention and proper estimation and implementation of one’s own abilities. For this reason, please travel a route that is unfamiliar to you slowly and with special care. Pay constant attention to potential dangers and always observe traffic. Do not leave the routes featured in descriptions.

 

The potential use of private roads, in particular forestry roads and agricultural transport roads, can be subject to legal restrictions, which must be observed and adhered to.

 

The normal traffic rules apply. Each user (e.g. biker, motorbiker) is responsible for adhering to these rules and maintaining his/her bike/vehicle and its equipment (lights, brakes etc.) in good working order. Each user is also responsible for ensuring that he/she rides at a velocity that is appropriate for the conditions and his/her skill level and for maintaining sufficient distance to the rider in front. We explicitly recommend adjusting velocity to correspond to the respective field of vision, wearing a helmet, using reflective clothing (or similar) and employing bicycle lights in line with regulations.

 

3.Each tour requires good physical fitness as well as detailed planning. We explicitly recommend only taking the tours in the case of optimal healthiness.

 

We recommend that you conclude an accident and liability insurance policy. Use an onboard computer that displays the respective kilometres travelled per day and is calibrated for the front wheel.

 

4.Special for mountain bikers – Fair-play rules:

 

Mountain biking is one of the most wonderful outdoor leisure-time activities. Whilst biking or on a mountain biking tour, mountains and lakes, meadows and cabins are re-discovered in new ways. A couple of rules for fair play in the forest help to avoid conflicts whilst mountain biking.

 

a.Pedestrians have the right of way: We are accommodating and friendly to pedestrians and hikers. Upon encountering these fellow travellers, we alert them by using the bicycle bell and slowly overtake them. We avoid paths with heavy pedestrian traffic altogether. Take nature into account: We do not leave refuse behind.

b.The braking distance should be half of the total distance visible: We ride at a controlled pace, are ready to brake and maintain a braking distance half as long as the total distance visible, especially in curves, because we always have to count on obstacles on the path. Damage to the path, stones, branches, wood piles, grazing livestock, cattle grids, barriers, tractor-type forestry machines and authorised vehicles pose dangers that we need to be ready for.

c.Don’t drink and drive!: Do not drink alcohol when mountain biking. Take care at stop-off points (dealing with bike racks, dirty shoes or clothing).

It is obligatory to provide first aid!

d.Marked routes, closed paths and blockades: Keep to the marked routes, observe the blockades and accept that these roads are primarily for agricultural and forestry use!

Blockades can often not be avoided and are in your own interest. Biking beyond the intended path and outside of opening times is punishable and turns us into illegal bikers.

e.We are guests in the forest and behave accordingly, including vis-à-vis forestry and hunting staff. Whilst mountain biking, mobile telephones and music players are forbidden! Biking requires your full attention.

f.Avoid unnecessary noise. Out of consideration to the animals living in the wild, we only bike during full daylight. As a principle, we always wear our helmet (even when riding uphill)! Don’t forget emergency supplies: We always have a repair set and bandages along.

g.Don’t overestimate your skills: We should not overdo it when it comes to biking technique and physical fitness. Take the level of difficulty posed by the route into consideration and make a precise estimate of your experience and skills as a biker (braking, bell, lights)!

h.Close gates: We approach grazing livestock at a walking pace and close every gate behind us. We should avoid causing escape and panic reactions in the animals. Nothing stands in the way of the fun and athletic challenge in the mountains and forests!

i.Traffic rules: The general traffic rules (StVO) apply for all the mountain biking routes and we adhere to them. Our bike therefore needs to be in perfect technical condition and equipped in line with the traffic rules, including brakes, a bell and lights. We inspect and service our mountain bikes regularly anyway.
