Description:

Die Predigstuhl Runde S462 beinhaltet kurze Trailabschnitte, wenige Spitzkehren im Bereich der Ewigen Wand die mit ausreichend Fahrtechnik auch befahrbar sind.


Folgende Höhepunkte machen diese Tour, neben der wunderbaren Natur, zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis:



  • Gemütlich starten wir in Goisern und fahren über St. Agatha entlang des Großen Zlanbaches in Richtung Steiermark.

  • Bevor wir die Landesgrenze erreichen kurven wir 220hm rauf und retour zur Halleralm. Ein zweites Frühstück oder doch eine Mittagsrast, es fällt schwer nicht einzukehren.

  • Steil bergauf über die Flohwiesen in Richtung Predigstuhl, ein Abstecher zur Hütteneckalm mit guter Küche und perfekter Weitsicht

  • oder vorbei an der Roßmoosalm, am Lesehotel zum fahrtechnischen Schmankerl.

  • Dem Weg an der Ewigen Wand entlang und weiter in Richtung Laufen um

  • an der Traun in Richtung Weissenbachtal zu gleiten, beim Wirten ein deftiges Hirschgulasch zu verschlingen

  • und unser Abenteuer auf den letzten Metern nach Goisern abzuschließen.



Directions:

Wir starten beim Gemeindeamt in Bad Goisern und biegen rechts in den Marktplatz ein. Wir folgen dem Salzkammergutradweg R2 in Richtung Hallstatt. Nach rund 1,6km mündet der Radweg nach rechts in die B166 in Richtung Hallstatt/Gosau ein und wir bleiben weitere 1000m am Radweg an der B166. 


Bei der Bushaltestelle Reiterergasse (km2,6) queren wir die B166 nach links und fahren vorbei bei Pancho Wheels in Richtung St. Agatha für weitere 1000m um an der Feuerwehr (km3,6) nach links oben einzubiegen. Nach 300m überqueren wir bei der Senferei (km3,9) die B145 und fahren auf der Halleralmstraße leicht bergauf auf Asphalt. Nach rund 400m an der Wegkreuzung halten wir uns rechts, überqueren den Bach und fahren am Güterweg Pichlern, vorbei am Schützenhaus St. Agatha, weitere 500m auf Asphalt um dann rechts nach unten in der Linkskurve (km4,8) in die Leislingstraße auf Schotter abzubiegen. 


Falls du dir 7,4km und rund 100hm sparen möchtest kannst du hier geradeaus weiter radeln am Güterweg Pichlern. 


Nun folgen wir dem Großen Zlambach bergauf immer am Weg bleibend rund 2,6km und biegen an der Gabelung nach links unten (km7,6) ein. Nach rund 200m überqueren wir den Zlambach und es geht rund 220hm und 2km auf Schotter in Kurven den Berg hoch auf der Leislingstraße bis wir in die Halleralmstraße (km9,8) nach links einbiegen. 


Wir fahren auf der Halleralmstraße leicht bergab mit dem einen oder anderen schönen Blick (Foto: #dachsteinsalzkammergut) auf den Dachsteingletscher links von uns. Nach rund 2km passieren wir den Schranken (km11,8) und 200m weiter liegt die Halleralm (km12,0) links unter uns. 


So wir hier keinen Einkehrschwung setzen, geht die Fahrt weiter auf Asphalt leicht bergab für 200m, leichten Gang wählen denn an der Kreuzung (km12,2) geht´s nach rechts in den Güterweg Pichlern steil nach oben. 


Wir bleiben am Güterweg Pichlern, passieren den Parkplatz für die Langläufer an der linken Seite und nach rund 1,1km tauchen wir wieder in den Wald ein um nach 700m die Wegkreuzung Raschberg (km14,0) zu erreichen. 


Wir halten uns links (geradeaus), passieren den Schranken und folgen der Beschilderung Predigstuhl Runde S462 für weitere 800m, halten uns diesmal rechts um nach rund 300m an der Weggabelung (km15,1 Seehöhe: 1070m) nach links abzubiegen. 


So uns Hunger & Durst plagen, hätten wir hier die Möglichkeit die rechte Gabel steil nach oben 170hm zur Hütteneckalm zu fahren. Wunderschöner Gastgarten mit Sicht bis zum Hallstättersee. 


Ansonsten geht´s weiter auf der Rothmoosstraße auf Schotter für rund 2,9km und dann öffnet sich der Wald für die Rossmoosalm (km18,0). Wir biegen links ab und nach 100m halten wir uns rechts.


Wie auf den meisten Almen im Gebiet ist überall mit Pferden und Kühen zu rechnen. Eine Trailbell mit ihrem sanften Klingeln hat hier den einen oder anderen Vorteil und macht charmant auf den Biker aufmerksam.


Nach einer kurzen Abfahrt geht´s in einer Linkskurve nach oben um bald darauf wieder nach unten zu gehen und 1,6km nach der Rossalm passieren wir eine Forststrasse, bleibe jedoch bis zur Kreuzung am Lesehotel (km19,8) weitere 100m am Hauptweg. 


Wir halten uns rechts, passieren den Schranken, lassen das Lesehotel links unter uns liegen und pedalieren 300m bis zum Einstieg in den Weg zur Ewigen Wand (km20,1)


Ab hier ist besondere Vorsicht geboten, der Weg wird schmaler, Wurzeln und der eine oder andere Stein liegt am Weg und sowohl Fußgänger als auf bergauf fahrende Biker sind unterwegs. 


Es geht rumpelig und steil bergab auf rund 1,4km mit einer netten Spitzkehre. Das absolvierte Fahrtechniktraining hat sich spätestens hier bezahlt gemacht. 


In der zweiten Spitzkehre (km21,5) kreuzen wir den Weg vom der Rathluckenhütte nach rechts und fahren auf der Höhenlinie rund 800m durch die Ewige Wand. Grundsätzlich ist die Befahrung erlaubt, bei vielen Fußgängern empfehlen wir jedoch insbesondere die paar Meter in der Wand zu schieben


Helm ist ein Mustbe, insbesondere beim ersten Kopfkontakt in einem der Tunnels schmerzhaft festzustellen.


Sobald wir eine Unzahl an Bildern geschossen haben geht´s nach der Wand etwas technisch nach unten auf die Fortstraße. Grundsätzlich befahrbar, jedoch ohne Fahrtechnik zumindest den Ausgang (km22,3) zur Fortstraße schiebend zu empfehlen.  


Wir biegen nach links unten ab und bleiben 700m bis zum Steinbruch (km23,0) Anzenaukogl auf der Anzenbergstraße. ACHTUNG: Hier Schwerlastverkehr!


Direkt am Steinbruch geht´s links im 90 Grad Winkel in den alten Weg, den wir nicht verlassen bis zur Querung der Anzenbergstraße nach rund 900m und weiter auf der anderen Seite für rund 500m bis zur Anzenbergstraße (km24,3) mit Schwerverkehr. 


Für die Trailliebhaber und für die hungrigen Gäste, besteht nun die Möglichkeit wiederum die Straße zu queren und über den Jodschwefelbadtrail direkt zum Weissenbachwirt zu fahren. 


Alle anderen, welche die Runde ordentlich fertig fahren nun weiter auf Schotter der Anzenbergstraße mit Vorsicht bergab auf rund 800m bis wir in der Anzenau (km25,1) wieder auf Asphalt treffen. 


Wir halten uns rechts, vorbei am Freilichtmuseum Anzenaumühle und unter der B145 durch münden wir nach 300m in den Salzkammergutradweg R2 (km25,4) in Richtung Bad Ischl ein. 


Wir bleiben bis zur Traunbrücke (km26,0) in Lauffen 400m auf Asphalt, queren die Traun und die Eisenbahntrasse und biegen unmittelbar danach nach links unten ein. Nach rund 300m biegen wir links ab, fahren unter der Bahntrasse (26,3km) durch und folgen der Traun flussaufwärts auf einem malerischen Weg in Richtung Weißenbach. Nach rund 1,5km durchfahren wir das Örtchen Weißenbach (km27,3), überqueren den Weißenbach und wenige Meter später auf der rechten Seite im Gastgarten des Weissenbachwirts (km27,8) unser Abenteuer zu rekapitulieren. 


Es geht weiter 200m auf Asphalt wieder in Richtung Traun. So die Müdigkeit überhand nimmt, kann hier abgekürzt werden. Einfach die Traun überqueren und gleich danach am R2 in Richtung Bad Goisern fahren, oder beim Jodschwefelbad in den Zug steigen. 


Der Rest nimmt den Originalweg und biegt vor der Traunbrücke (km27,5) nach rechts und folgt dem Asphaltweg der Beschilderung folgend zuerst mal leicht bergauf, immer am Hauptweg bleibend, vorbei an der Kuranstalt um nach rund 2,4km nach links unten abzubiegen.


Nach einer kurzen Abfahrt geht´s in einer Linkskurve wiederum entlang der Traun 300m bis zur Brücke die wir überqueren und dann dem Salzkammergutradweg R2, durch den Kurpark, bis zu unserem Ausgangspunkt in 1km beim Marktgemeindeamt folgen. 


 


Die weinrote Mountainbikebeschilderung ist eindeutig geografisch verortet. Jeder Wegpunkt hat eine eindeutige Nummer z.B. 40702-0002 welche in der unteren Logozeile angedruckt ist. Solltest du mal Schwierigkeiten haben, kannst du diese Nummer beim Tourismusverband Inneres Salzkammergut durchgeben und wir wissen, wo du dich aufhältst. 



Tip:

So der Magen knurrt und dir Trails Freude bereiten, bei km24,3 den Abstecher direkt zum Jodschwefelbad nehmen und direkt zum Weissenbachwirt fahren. 



Safety guidelines:

Die Predigstuhl Runde ist eine Rundtour und mit der Nummer S462 beschildert. Touren mit 400er Nummern haben eine Streckenlänge bis max. 50km. Die angegebenen Fahrtzeiten sind reine netto Fahrtzeiten mit dem E-MTB ohne Pause wie Fotostops, Einkehrschwung, etc..


Besondere Acht bei den Querungen der Bundesstraße B166 in Steeg sowie der B145 in St. Agatha.


Bitte beachte insbesondere den Schwerverkehr (Steinbruch) auf der Anzenbergstraße nach der Ewigen Wand. 


Um den Tag perfekt zu gestalten, finden sich hier ein paar Tipps, welche es lohnt vor jeder Tour zu beachten. Darüber hinaus sei dir bewusst, dass du dich im Gebirge bewegst und somit die Eigenverantwortung eine große Rolle einnimmt. Dies betrifft die Auswahl der zu bewältigenden Strecke, das zu erwartende Wetter und das eine oder andere Funkloch in welchem du keine Mobilfunkverbindung vorfindest.

2.Some of the tours lead over roads with normal traffic conditions. Please observe that there is an increased risk which can be avoided by means of appropriate attention and proper estimation and implementation of one’s own abilities. For this reason, please travel a route that is unfamiliar to you slowly and with special care. Pay constant attention to potential dangers and always observe traffic. Do not leave the routes featured in descriptions.

 

The potential use of private roads, in particular forestry roads and agricultural transport roads, can be subject to legal restrictions, which must be observed and adhered to.

 

The normal traffic rules apply. Each user (e.g. biker, motorbiker) is responsible for adhering to these rules and maintaining his/her bike/vehicle and its equipment (lights, brakes etc.) in good working order. Each user is also responsible for ensuring that he/she rides at a velocity that is appropriate for the conditions and his/her skill level and for maintaining sufficient distance to the rider in front. We explicitly recommend adjusting velocity to correspond to the respective field of vision, wearing a helmet, using reflective clothing (or similar) and employing bicycle lights in line with regulations.

 

3.Each tour requires good physical fitness as well as detailed planning. We explicitly recommend only taking the tours in the case of optimal healthiness.

 

We recommend that you conclude an accident and liability insurance policy. Use an onboard computer that displays the respective kilometres travelled per day and is calibrated for the front wheel.

 

4.Special for mountain bikers – Fair-play rules:

 

Mountain biking is one of the most wonderful outdoor leisure-time activities. Whilst biking or on a mountain biking tour, mountains and lakes, meadows and cabins are re-discovered in new ways. A couple of rules for fair play in the forest help to avoid conflicts whilst mountain biking.

 

a.Pedestrians have the right of way: We are accommodating and friendly to pedestrians and hikers. Upon encountering these fellow travellers, we alert them by using the bicycle bell and slowly overtake them. We avoid paths with heavy pedestrian traffic altogether. Take nature into account: We do not leave refuse behind.

b.The braking distance should be half of the total distance visible: We ride at a controlled pace, are ready to brake and maintain a braking distance half as long as the total distance visible, especially in curves, because we always have to count on obstacles on the path. Damage to the path, stones, branches, wood piles, grazing livestock, cattle grids, barriers, tractor-type forestry machines and authorised vehicles pose dangers that we need to be ready for.

c.Don’t drink and drive!: Do not drink alcohol when mountain biking. Take care at stop-off points (dealing with bike racks, dirty shoes or clothing).

It is obligatory to provide first aid!

d.Marked routes, closed paths and blockades: Keep to the marked routes, observe the blockades and accept that these roads are primarily for agricultural and forestry use!

Blockades can often not be avoided and are in your own interest. Biking beyond the intended path and outside of opening times is punishable and turns us into illegal bikers.

e.We are guests in the forest and behave accordingly, including vis-à-vis forestry and hunting staff. Whilst mountain biking, mobile telephones and music players are forbidden! Biking requires your full attention.

f.Avoid unnecessary noise. Out of consideration to the animals living in the wild, we only bike during full daylight. As a principle, we always wear our helmet (even when riding uphill)! Don’t forget emergency supplies: We always have a repair set and bandages along.

g.Don’t overestimate your skills: We should not overdo it when it comes to biking technique and physical fitness. Take the level of difficulty posed by the route into consideration and make a precise estimate of your experience and skills as a biker (braking, bell, lights)!

h.Close gates: We approach grazing livestock at a walking pace and close every gate behind us. We should avoid causing escape and panic reactions in the animals. Nothing stands in the way of the fun and athletic challenge in the mountains and forests!

i.Traffic rules: The general traffic rules (StVO) apply for all the mountain biking routes and we adhere to them. Our bike therefore needs to be in perfect technical condition and equipped in line with the traffic rules, including brakes, a bell and lights. We inspect and service our mountain bikes regularly anyway.
