The Salzkammergut is one of the most beautiful mountain biking regions in Austria. The unique and varying natural landscape with the spectacular views, extensive forests, clear mountain streams and lush meadows give you the necessary energy kick to manage this sporting challenge. Steep climbs are rewarded with magnificent views.
Take over the Salzkammergut region between mountain heights and crystal-clear lakes, spare no metres in altitude and reach your destination tired, but happy!
The carrying out of the tour is dependent on weather conditions!
General information
The E-MTB tours are demanding and therefore physical fitness and endurance are necessary.
To enjoy this trip also a proper cycle equipment like sneakers, rucksack, sun- and rain protection, comfortable sports cloths, jacket, jumper, gloves, helmet, first aid kit and enough beverages and food is mandatory. We strongly recommend taking an emergency repair kit with replacement hose and pump with you.
Battery management:
Fully charge your battery every day.
We recommend a second battery. Pay attention to your driving if you do not have a second battery – you can probably charge it occasionally.
A low gear with high pedal frequency increases your range.
An ascent with more than 14km/h in the turbo mode reduces the range significantly. It is better to use a low gear in the E-MTB or sport mode with a speed lower than 10km/h.

Your E-Mountainbike-Tour:
1st day: Individual arrival in Bad Ischl
You will receive your detailed travel documents at your accommodation.
Overnight stay in Bad Ischl
2nd day:Bad Ischl – Steinbach am Attersee - Mondsee
~ 80 km difference in alltitude: 1500 m / 1470 m; ~ 7,5 hrs.
Today's stage is the longest of your tour. At the beginning the trail leads you along the Traun to Ebensee. It goes past the Feuerkogelbahn, through the Rumitzgraben and around the Fahrnaugupf. It continues steeply uphill over a Uphill Trail which then flows into the forest road and leads you in the direction of Vorderen Langbathsee. Continue past the hunting lodge and the Hintere Langbathsee until you finally land downhill in Steinbach am Attersee. From here it goes on to Unterach and along the Mondsee shore to Mondsee.

3rd day: Mondsee - Fuschl
~66 km, difference in alltitude: 1341m / 1153 m; ~ 4,5 hrs.
Today the tour takes you over the Mondsee westside shore and Gaisberg with panoramic views over the Mondsee with Schafberg, Drachenwand and Schober. You will pass the Wildmoos nature reserve in the direction of Saurüssel. Enjoy the lonely hamlets between Vöcklatal and Kogler Berg. Passing Lake Irrsee we continue towards Thalgau and then on to Fuschl am See.

4th day: Fuschl – Bad Ischl
~ 60 km, difference in alltitude: 1670m / 1880 m; ~ 6 hrs.
From Fuschl you start over the cycle path in the direction of Tiefbrunnau. It continues on a gravel road to the parking lot of the pastures. From here it goes to the mountain station of the Zwölferhornbahn and on to the Pillsteinalm, exactly between Salzkammergut and Tennengebirge. Enjoy the impressive view of the Wolfgangsee region with a stopover in the Sausteigalm. We continue along the Illingeralm around the Breitenberg and finally from Abersee along the Wolfgangseeufer to Strobl and on to Bad Ischl..

5th day: Individual departure or additional nights can be booked.
The BergeSeen eTrail includes 10 stages, which lead from Mondsee via Fuschl am See – Faistenau – Strobl – Gosau – Bad Aussee – Bad Ischl - Grünau im Almtal to Steinbach am Attersee. In this package 3 of these 10 stages are included. All further stages are bookable on request. With pleasure we will create a tailormade offer for you.

Accommodation:
Twin-bedded rooms in Austrian resorts are normally one large base with two mattresses/duvets. These are also known as 'Austrian Twins' and are regarded as two beds. Separate twin beds are rare and cannot be guaranteed as available.
Information for arrivals by car:
The parking place does not always situate next to the accommodation but on a public parking place. (Possible costs have to be paid on spot
