Kaiserbummel – an Imperial Stroll

In Bad Ischl, the guest is KING! When Bad Ischl rolls out the red carpet for you on 17 August 2024, the town wants to say one thing above all: Everywhere the customer is king. But with us, he is Emperor!

On this memorable day, it's all about staying on the 2.5-kilometre-long carpet that leads past the town's trendiest shops. As you parade through the idyllic alleyways and streets of Bad Ischl, you will be accompanied by a supporting programme that plays all the (art) tunes. Street artists, jugglers and musicians line the red carpet and perform their tricks.


Programme:

• 7.00 am, Kurhausstraße: Small Imperial Flea Market
• 10.00 am, Trinkhalle: 10 am, meeting point Trinkhalle: special guided tour "Villas of Bad Ischl"
• KI-SER - Bad Ischl will once again become the residence of Emperor Franz Josef I this summer in the form of an interactive painting of the former monarch. Visitors can meet the emperor in the town centre and talk to him as part of the Kaisertage 2024. Visiting times: In front of the Trinkhalle from 15.8 to 18.08 - from 09 - 17 h
• 10.00 h, city centre: Kaiserbummel
• 10.00 h, Kurpark children's programme: giant slide and small bouncy castle
• 10.00 h, Küchenkastl, KFJ-Straße 11: The "Ich bin Ich" association makes "Bochane Meis" (traditional yeast pastries) in front of the Küchenkastl. All proceeds will be donated to Salzkammergut residents with disabilities; until 5.00 pm, no registration, no costs; www.kuechenkastl.at
• From 10.00 am, Kurpark: children's programme with bouncy castle, face painting, giant slide, climbing tower and much more
• 10.00 am, Casino Keller (Grazerstraße 16): Time travel through the oldest beer cellar in Bad Ischl, duration approx. 1 hour, admission: € 10.00, children up to 10 years free; www.casino-keller.at
