David Helbocks Random/Control feat. Fola Dada - Festwochen Gmunden

Random/Control was David Helbock's most important project for many years. The three musicians from Vorarlberg celebrated their 15th anniversary last year and have given hundreds of concerts together all over the world. After the release of three albums, the band is ready for a new programme and new adventures. This will be recorded during one of the legendary live sessions at the Little Big Beat studio in Liechtenstein and will be released in early 2025. The trio's trademark is and remains their many instruments - just three musicians, but well over 20 instruments. Inspired by this variety of sound possibilities, David Helbock, who focusses on the piano and some percussion, has composed many new pieces, setting poems by William Blake, Emily Dickinson and others to music.
Now the trio has invited Fola Dada to sing these very poems. Fola Dada is an extremely versatile artist and can be described as a pioneer when it comes to combining different genres in song. The trained jazz singer began with tap dancing in the style of Fred Astaire and did not stop at vocal coaching for Dieter Bohlen's DSDS candidates. She has become an integral part of the German jazz and soul scene and was honoured with the German Jazz Award in the singing category in 2022. Helbock's passionate, wild trio meets one of Germany's most exciting singers!
