At the k.u.k. Osteria Miramare, we believe that enjoyment is no accident. Our stone-baked pizzas, Italian classics and Mediterranean flavours bring a taste of Bella Italia to Ischl. Warm, unpretentious and full of flavour, made with natural ingredients.

Outside, right in the heart of Schröpferplatz, lies our outdoor dining area – the town’s summer living room. Sunny, central, open. This is where locals and visitors meet to enjoy coffee, Aperol, cocktails or a relaxed meal under the open sky. And when the sun goes down, that’s when the atmosphere really comes alive.
Right next door, the Schirmbar offers pure summer vibes: events, music, DJ nights, spontaneous evenings you didn’t plan – but will never forget. A place where summer pulsates and the town comes alive.
And when the weather turns cold, everything changes: our winter outdoor dining area with gondolas brings winter magic to Ischl. Warm lights, hot drinks, cosy gondolas and good food – a place that feels like a little mini-break right in the heart of the town.

Since 1985 we are "BAR & LEBENSBÜHNE" and since 2023 "OSTERIA MIRAMARE" in our imperial city "zu Ischl". Since 2001 we have also been running our HUGE GASTGARTEN on Schröpferplatz, right in the center of town, directly opposite the Kurpark. Whether in the real world or virtually on the Internet, we have established ourselves as a tried and tested meeting place and a permanent institution. Always in the familiar, classic "imperial yellow" and black, the colors of the k.u.k. monarchy.

In the k.u.k. Hofbeisl is where it all began in 1985 and has grown into the k.u.k. gastronomy experience with all its related departments. The "philosophy" from back then is still valid today in the k.u.k. Hofbeisl is still valid today: The k.u.k Hofbeisl has a myth, something mystical in any case. There is something like a "halo of glory" here, or rather an aura. It's not certain whether it's just the perfect waiter or the gleaming golden brass bar. Or is it the red floor and the candles at the tables? Or is it the many mirrors in which you think you can recognize the myth? Nobody knows exactly what it is. For the k.u.k. Osteria Miramare in the k.u.k. Hofbeisl, we have been inspired by the loving longing of our imperial ancestors. Here we offer popular specialties from our southern neighboring country with high and authentic quality. The name "Miramare" refers to the famous castle near Trieste, which was built for the brother of Emperor Franz Joseph I and his wife. "Mirar mare" means "to look at the sea".
