Art exhibition "Mental load and invisible work"

The interdisciplinary exhibition project "Mental Load and Invisible Work" is dedicated to the invisible work of caring, planning and organizing - activities that are mostly unpaid and predominantly carried out by women and marginalized groups.

An Austria-wide call invites artists from all disciplines to reflect artistically on this socially relevant topic. The exhibition will be shown from May 6 to 16, 2026 in the Trinkhalle Bad Ischl, the Galerie Am Fluss and the Salinen Austria brewhouse - places with strong historical and regional symbolism. Accompanying workshops, discussion formats and educational programs promote awareness, participation and dialogue. The project builds on the spirit of the European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl - Salzkammergut 2024 and sends a supra-regional signal for visibility, social justice and cultural responsibility.
