THE most fantastic arises where the will ends

Where the path of colour and water leads me when I have the white canvas in front of me is exciting every time. Feeling with my hands and intervening at the right moment plays an important role.

My artistic aim is to give the viewer of my paintings access to a fantastic universe and to direct their gaze into a vastness and depth that is not logically possible in two dimensions.

When spheres, which have been a central element in my paintings since I started painting, begin to float and sometimes even dance, then I have succeeded in doing what is close to my heart.

Ravens are only human...
"Happy unlucky birds" and "tipsy ravens"

Ravens - reviled as harbingers of bad luck, scared away as thieves and scolded as "raven parents" - in many cultures, however, they symbolise wisdom and strength. Fascinating, shiny black fellows. Playful, funny and clumsy on the one hand, flying acrobats, serious in their choice of life partner and infinitely loving and caring in the rearing of their young on the other, they unite apparent contrasts.

Over a period of about 10 years, around 200 raven originals were created. What Wilhelm Busch says about the fulfilment of wishes that instantly give birth also applies to my raven paintings - they "multiply" almost by themselves...

There is nothing sinister about my ravens. Against a luminous background, they stagger and flutter across the canvas, seemingly clumsy - anything too human is defused because it is smiled at. The tongue-in-cheek message: "Ravens are only human..."

Customised
Personalised production for your living space

The creative beginning of a painting - the white canvas - is both a great challenge and a tingling pleasure for me - every new beginning is exciting.

When creating paintings for the living spaces of certain people, the dialogue with my customers always opens up new and exciting approaches for me. It's about "mixing" my sense of colour with that of my clients, realising colour moods and shapes on the canvas that touch the future viewer as much as they touch me.

For very specific themes such as birthdays, professional anniversaries, graduation or graduation ceremonies, for musicians or certain professions and much more, my raven birds like to position themselves - clever, cheeky and humorously displaying the theme.
