Bad Ischl, Oberösterreich, Österreich
Nordic skiing region
Trails in operation:
yes

Rettenbachalm, home to the Bad Ischl Cross Country Skiing Centre, is one of the largest low alms (Alpine Pastures) in the Salzkammergut. The largely flat alm lies high above Bad Ischl surrounded by imposing mountain peaks, giving it a wonderful feeling of quiet stillness.

Bad Ischl Cross Country Skiing Centre is located eight kilometres from the centre of Bad Ischl. Due to its location, Rettenbachalm has excellent snow conditions throughout the winter. There is a wide range of cross country skiing tracks, suitable for all abilities in both classic and freestyle. It is ideal for both gentle exploration as well as more serious use! The variety of tracks and excellent conditions mean that numerous national and international competitions take place, each year, at Rettenbachalm.

At a glance
• Up to 10 kilometres of trails for all levels (depending on snow conditions)
• Winter hiking
• Alm Guest House serving hot food and drinks (closed on Wednesday)
